Answered Questions

Question:
How do you think the website's turned out? It feels reminiscent of 2010s and earlier, which I quite like.

Answer:
It's simple and functional. The information matters more than the visual styling to me, but it's simple enough to adapt to any of my needs quite quickly.

Question:
Will you ever return to FE2 Map Making in the future?

Answer:
Probably not! The community has realised a lot of what can be done with FE2 already. I think with the enthusiasm of the community, providing better tooling would make for a potent combination.

Question:
Will you ever make a platformer game outside of ROBLOX?

Answer:
...Maybe. I know I'll eventually want to make games outside of ROBLOX, but that's hard to figure out when you want it to run anywhere.

Question:
Have you thought of remaking and porting your games to another engine or platform unrelated to Roblox?

Answer:
Yes, a lot! It's part of why, during my break from FE2 from late 2024 onwards, I've been brushing up on my programming skills; visit the projects tab.

Question:
When's No Light?

Answer:
In 2019 its basis was directionless hype. What it means to me has changed greatly over the past year. If I had the means to express it, the map would be made to have a massive influence on the game's lore. No light as a concept remains personal to me.

Question:
What inspired you to create games over all these years?

Answer:
I've always wanted to make things since I was a kid. If I had a pen and paper, and whatever the teacher was saying was boring, I'd end up drawing a layout for a Crash Bandicoot game. Seeing other people's cool creations and having easy, intuitive access to creation tools is what enabled me to get started.

Question:
Do you have any thoughts on the Ocarina of Time remake?

Answer:
I've never had a strong connection to the Legend of Zelda series. Obviously it's going to look amazing, but I'd like the world to be braver in telling new stories.

Question:
What is your favorite FE2 Map (Community-made or self-created)?

Answer:
Answering this would negatively impact the creative freedom map makers allow themselves. I have a few favourites, but I think it would be best to keep this answer to myself. :)

Question:
As a massive and old fan of the game, will there ever be a possibility for a new, bigger Flood Escape project, if not already considered?

Answer:
Glad you've stuck around! Would be nice to keep doing things with the Flood Escape series, however long it would take, wherever we choose to make it.

Question:
How do you feel about how people perceive you? Like, in fanart and such?

Answer:
There's Crazyblox, the character, and Crazyblox, the developer. It's cool to see what people create about Crazyblox, the character.

Question:
Did you originally come up with the idea of ziplines in FE2 from other FE2-like games?

Answer:
No. It was part of the agility update back in early 2021. I try not to pay too much attention to what other FE2-likes do. It's great that there's choice for if a player's taste changes, but for developing FE2 it's critically important not to circle the homogenous drain.

Question:
How'd you come up with your online aliases (Crazyblox/Redense)?

Answer:
I came up with 'Crazyblox' as a kid; the best I could answer for my younger self is that I really enjoyed playing ROBLOX, and I was known to be quite hyper (Undiagnosed ADHD moment). As for 'Redense', this was something more intentional. I based the name on the rhythmic nature of percussion in EDM; the waveform of a drum in this genre lends itself to be quite saturated, so repeatedly playing kick drums over and over... You get 'Redense'.

Question:
Hello, Crazyblox… I am your biggest fan… I am wearing the shirt with your logo on it as we speak… There are no limits to how much I idolize and look up to you… You are the best person on earth… I could speak on and on… but I won't waste your time… instead, my question is simple; can I get a hello…. And maybe you can please proclaim me as your biggest fan… Godspeed, sir

Answer:
Hello! I was thinking on how to respond this one because it's quite an enthusiastic one! It's awesome to be passionate about something. There's various games I've looked up to over the years that inspired me to do the things I did. How you embrace enjoying the things you like should always be your own choice, no time is wasted here. All I'll say is, please recognise that I am just human. As is deadmau5, one of the music artists that left a huge impression on me. :)
